apparthotel alte post f

Thinking of booking this hotel for a week in the summer. Does anyone know it? Is it in a good quiet location . The reviews are not good but so interested to hear from anyone who has actually stayed there.

also We are thinking of booking for mid July . Is that a good time for festivals, music etc?

In my opinion. the only thing good about this place is a good location near to the town center but relatively quiet.

Prior owners had this hotel for many years and I do not believe did too much to renovate.

Not too long ago, it was sold to the owner of one of the Mayrhofen ski schools.

From the exterior the only improvement seems to be a new color of paint.

While I have not stayed there, I had spoken not too long ago when last in Mayrhofen to people who were booked there - half pension and found it to be very bad. Perhaps this agrees with the reviews you have found.

many other places in town should be better.

Much happens in the summer to keep visitors happy.

This area is famous for good music makers- concerts weekly on the Platz - usually saturday or sunday

many festivals too-

July 17- 18 the Wald Fest - the Forest fest -

July 26 the Schützenkompanie Fest traditional defenders of the area always in their typical costumes and antique weapons

July 31 Street Fest

all the above with music , food etc.

nearby villages like Brandberg and Hippach also have many events.

this hotel is right along side the church where the bell ring or chime every 1/4 of an hour and there is another big hotel across the road which has an out side restaurant which has music most nights and i have also spoken to people staying at the hotel and they were not happy look on the web site www.mayrhofen.at which has a list of all hotel bandbs and rooms for rent but mayrhofen is wonderful in summer with walks for everyone happy hols i will be there again in june hurray

Thank you very much for your help it has made up my mind. We will look at other places to stay .
