Alright, who%26#39;s up for a challenge?
Please submit your suggestions for the best Viennese pastry shop - we would prefer a place that specializes in pastries or cakes - like a bakery with a few tables to sit and have a slice and coffee. We do not prefer the larger, more bustling %26#39;cafe%26#39;s%26#39; that are around, but all suggestions will be appreciated.
Thanks to all in advance

For the very best of Viennese pastry try %26quot;Sluka%26quot; under the arcades between the city hall and the parliament (Rathausplatz 8, 1010 Wien). It%26#39;s a real %26quot;Conditorei%26quot; (pasticceria), and not one of those cafés, where people sit, smoke, drink coffee and read all day long (mind you, some of those have very good pastry as well).
It%26#39;s open until 7.30pm on weekdays, until 5pm on Saturdays and closed on Sundays. You will not see many tourists, but it%26#39;s still rather expensive because many Viennese are addicted to their wonderful cakes :-) Of their smaller sweets, don%26#39;t miss the %26quot;Pignolikipferl%26quot; and the %26quot;Flora Krapferl%26quot;. Their savoury (salty) food is not as great, it seems to be stuck in the 1960s (rather fat, mayonnaise,...).
I much prefer Sluka to %26quot;Demel%26quot; (Kohlmarkt 14, 1010 Wien), which is completely overrun by tourists nowadays, but you might want to try for yourself.

I would recommend the Konditorei Oberlaa
Various locations in Vienna-
I enjoy their place at
Babenbergerstrasse 7 - near to the Ringstrasse and next to the Fine Arts Museum - small and usually quiet.
or the busy address at Neuer Markt 16 in the city center.
A diverse assortment and highest quality.
All natural ingredients, no preservatives or artificial flavors.
