I and my wife plus daughter of 15 years of age plan to visit Austria in second half of August. We shall come from Salzburg and plan to stay two nights in either Innsbruck or Hall. After then, we shall travel to Fuessen to visit Neuschwanstein Castle. We will be travelling by train and therefore a hotel within walking distance to the train station will be appropriate.
Could anyone advise which city is better for our trip and also name of the hotel please, plus convenience of traffic to Germany? We like sight-seeing, seeing the nature and countryside and definitely love the local cuisine.
Any advice will be appreciated.

I hope it is clear to you that Innsbruck or Hall are extremely inconvenient as a base to visit Neuschwanstein. Füssen is practically only connected by public transportation from the North, not from the south.

Thank you for yr advice. I may not be clear enough in my first post. My idea is to travel to Fuessen, stay there overnight, and visit the castle. After then, we shall go to Munich for a day or two before taking the fligh back home.
My itinerary will start in Vienna, Salzburg, Tirol and then to Munich.
Since Innsbruck is not convenient, so how should I re-arrange my trip so that it will make more sense?
Any advice is welcome.
