Planning a wedding in Salzburg

Please help.

I am planning a private wedding ceremony for my fiance and I in Salzburg in June 2010.

I know I could hire a wedding planner, but they all cost a fortune, and we really only need a venue, a carriage, flowers, and a photographer since there are no guests, no meal, etc.

I%26#39;m doing marginally well planning this my own so far. However, at present, I%26#39;m stuck on a photographer. I have spent hours online (including the salzburg.info site) trying to find what I consider to be a decent photographer, but the only ones that I%26#39;m finding are 3,000 Euro and up. That%26#39;s fair if it%26#39;s a day-long-wedding, but ours is much more simple than that, %26amp; doesn%26#39;t necessitate a 3k-5k package!

Please, please help suggest a photographer who has an online gallery I can look through...

(And if you want to recommend a florist, I%26#39;ll take recommendations over blindly finding one over the internet.)

Thank you kindly!

i got married in austria almost 5 years ago in zell am see - my advice would be to use the owner of your hotel - thats what i did and it all turned out perfect !!! we had 29 guests who all had a free bar and a meal, a beautiful wedding cake - coffee , the ceremony arranegd and a horse and carriage as well as photos and a lovely wedding gift from the hotel all for under £2500 - try and get that at home - it woldn%26#39;t even pay for the photographer and cars - any other advice just email me

Hi Jodi==

Do you want a photographer from the U.S. versus one from Austria?

Try contacting the Stiftskeller St. Peter restaurant and see if you can gain some information from them. I think this is a very popular place for celebrations so they might have a recommendation for a photographer and a florist.

Hi, I got married in May 2006 in Salzburg. We used a photographer called Silvana Snoy. At Photo August. 1 Paris-Lodron-Strasse. We found her by chance as the photo studio was right next door to the Austrotel hotel where we were staying. She is very pleasant and will accomodate any ideas that you have. We got married in the Mirabell Palace and she took alot of photo%26#39;s in there (as it was raining)!!! But we went outside later in the grounds and had our photo taken on the steps (as in sound of music). It cost approx £200.00 and for that she was with us throughout the ceremony and after for about 1 1/2 Hours in total. We recieved 30 prints 7x5 size and we also bought all the negatives which in total had 77 photos on. I have looked on the internet but cannot find a web site for her. But for the price we were very happy with the photo%26#39;s. Alot cheaper than here. Hope i have been some help.Let me know if you want any other info.I can%26#39;t reccommend a florist as i got my flowers from a village called Lofer where we were staying at the time.Sorry!
