Just a word of thanks to Motherhulda, WirralScouse %26amp; others for your help.
St Johann (despite Frommer%26#39;s description)is in fact a very charming, small village with a nice choice of restaurants (picolla beside Goldener Lowe), cafes and bakeries (Nill) - with pleasant locals who are heppy to engage and very patient with our limited German.
The Park hotel is an ideal base just minutes outside the village nearby the slopes, and the red school is a fantastic ski resource for families, with a great academy for children called Bobo.
