i want to travel by train from vienna to prague by train and i would like to know the charges ane the time taken by train to prauge and also from prague to munich by tain and back to vienna can it be done in 4 days thanking you francy

Regular fare between Víenna and Prague is approximately 50€. Discounted tickets also available but subject to availability. Travel duration varies between 4 hours and 4h30min depending on train.

4 days for Prague and Munich including transportation from/to Vienna is hardly feasible. It depends on how much you wanna see of a city.

To ride on this post - what is the cheapest transport from Prague to Munich?

If the time taken is too long, then which alternative would be considered more appropriate although may not be the cheapest.

From Austria to Prague - if we have the Einfach-Raus-Ticket from which town would be the best to disembark and head to Prague?

Just purely looking at map, we are thinking of travelling Innsbruck-Zell am See- Salsburg-Linz-Cecky Krumlov- Prague-Munich-Zurich

But we can change towns if it is more scenic and cheaper to get to Prague

Sorry for asking all about transport. I have done quite a lot of research but navigating through the details got me all confused especially when Europe is very far and foreign to where I stay.

The Einfach-Raus-Ticket is only good on REGIONAL TRAINS (abbreviation: R,REX,ER,S) to Summerau. It is NOT VALID on national and international fast trains. If you have enough time you can save a lot of money with the ERT. Summerau is located on the Linz-Ceske Budejovice railroad at the state border. From there you need a regular ticket. As you go to Cesky Krumlov you should also contemplate semi-private van transportation from Linz Main Station to Krumlov using the services of LoboShuttle (http://www.shuttlelobo.cz/).
