salzburg to vienna

First time traveler in austria will be spending 2 days in Salzburg and 2 days in Vienna at the end of march Any suggestions on reasonable train fares or bus on this route? Thank you!

That%26#39;s probably the most discussed issue here. Domestic train fares are regulated and firm - no chance to lower the price by booking well in advance or other measures. On the other side this system is much more flexible as you can buy your ticket just before departure. Oneway price is 44€ (additional travelers are eligible for a discount getting better the more travel together on one ticket).

i saw the website, and it seam to me that ther%26#39;nt any sort of return tiket deal.

what about busses ?

we want to avoid to rent a car but at the moment it look the cheapest option so far.
