OBB online ticket

Hi all,

I just purchase an online ticket from Strasbourg to Vienna using the OBB website. This is for the overnight train. I have never boarded a night train before (in fact never boarded any train before). I printed out the ticket. Unfortunately, the whole ticket is in German and I don%26#39;t know German.

My question is, when I board the train, do I just present the printed ticket and the credit card I used to purchase the ticket?

If you guys have done this before, I would really appreciate your input on what the steps are. It would be helpful to know what I can expect. I brought the 6 person couchette so that I can at least lie down.

Thanks

Yes, the printout is your ticket that you show the train attendant. I don%26#39;t think that the credit card needs to be shown either.

Hi, I purchased online tickets from DeutschBahn last year and had to show the printout as well as the credit card--they scanned both of them and punched the printout (which I had to show more than once along the trip so keep it handy). I%26#39;m pretty sure you%26#39;ll have to show your credit card. I%26#39;ve just bought OBB online tickets for this April and they look exactly the same as the DB ones.
