Hi,
I%26#39;m planning a trip to Vienna, will be staying only 2 days at Airo Tower hotel, where can I find some kitchenware shops in the area?
|||
there is nothing around your hotel .
You can take the tram 67 till Reumannplatz and around this place and down the pedestrian zone should be some shops.
|||
ok than, it%26#39;s not a must to be nearby, but how about a big shop?
I%26#39;d like to go into a shop where you can find from vegetable peelers to chef%26#39;s tools, pots and pans and such, professional and non-professional, all kinds and shapes.
(yeah, I%26#39;m a cooking aficionado in search for tools) :%26quot;%26gt;

Your hotel is far away from any infrastructure! It is very close to the municipality border, where is nothing to do and see! The one and only advantage of this location is the nearby public bath with SPA. Kitchenware can be extensively found at Furniture and houseware stores like Lutz, Leiner, kika and IKEA.
|||
that%26#39;s ok, i don%26#39;t mind being further from attractions, we have a car. last time i used public transportation and it was great.
i guess what i mostly needed are the name of the shops, and then i can google for the address

here some addresses around Reumannplatz
Atzler OHG %26quot;Zum Eisen Eck%26quot;
Quellenstraße 62
Müller Drogerie Markt
Favoritenstraße 112-114
Möbelhaus Ludwig
Katharinengasse 1

With your auto - a very easy ride -is Kika
this a major chain store for most allhome related items and furniture including kitchen items, glassware , bedding etc. etc.
They are located Laxenburgerstrasse 145
this at a large intersection - a large multi story building
Company website
www.kika.at
they have a large parking lot to make it easy to access- perhaps 10 minute ride from your hotel
or bus 15A , 66 A or 67A

great!
thank you very much

Some are addicted to IKEA where you find all kitchen stuff for a low(er) price (for a low quality either):
www.ikea.at (Location: Wien Nord)
Located at the end of the expressway A23 (direction: Stadlau) which is accessible via Favoritenstrasse.
|||
well low quality products i can find in romania too, i want to buy high quality stuff, preferably at low prices :)
i will be paying a visit to ikea anyway, %26#39;cause i%26#39;ve heard it%26#39;s really a great shop.
is the ikea in vosendorf%26#39;s shopping city south comparable to what you suggested, or is it smaller?
|||
They%26#39;re about the same, but the Vösendorf one is not far from the Kika that Vertical mentioned. But Vienna is not the ideal place to come for high quality at low prices. You%26#39;ll get the quality, but not at prices I think you%26#39;d consider low!
