Hallo,
I´m Mauro from Italy, just wanted to have some info about Tirol. Me and my girlfirend will be in Tirol from 14th April (in the mornig, coming from Munich after Easter holidays) and we´ll have 4 days until 17th April to spent in Tirol (late evening at home in Milan)
Never been in Tirol but I´m really enjoy to spent 3/4 days in this area.
So, some questions to understand how we can organize our days.
- Will we find yet snow, I supposed, isn´t it? it´s not a problem, but I would be sure of it...I mean, in the valley, mountain, to make some day trip by bike or walking...Usually is it yet a cold period? Is it possible to make camping?
-I think that from Munich on 14th April, sure the first step will be Innsbruck (sleeping one nite)...one day considering the other 2-3 day are ok?
-After Innsbruck which kind of itinerary could you suggest me? We would see beautifull landscapes, small villages, make some activity (sport, horses..bike..walking through nature) but also relaxing and tasting austrian delicious... ;-)
Is there some areas of Tirol where in 2-3 day (a part of Innsbruck) can we do and see different things?
-Last things..do you suggest to plan before (Innsbruck hotel for sure, not to lose time to find hotel) itineray and booking place where to sleep or is it possible or it´s better in Tirol go around and around and stop when the sun goes down?
-What about farm house during this period?
Hope to have some good suggestions... ;-)
Thank you!!!!!
Mauro

You neglect to mention how you travel car train?
A central possibility by auto or car on the way into Tirol from Munuich would be the town of Seefeld.
www.seefeld.at
It should still have snow and offers many varied outdoor activities including good walking possibilities, fine scenery and much more. Numerous villages nearby in that area and also the good town of Mittenwald just across the border in Germany.
No need to change your base to see much in that area.
Seefeld is just above Innsbruck and is connected with an easy train ride or short drive for sightseeing.
I would book ahead no matter what place you seleect as it saves time and possible stress.

Hi Mauro,
Innsbruck area... Hall in Tirol is a charming old town 10 minutes or so from Innsbruck. We like staying at the Gasthof Badl in Hall in Tirol. Easy by train or car.

Schloss Ambras in Innsbruck is very nice.

The Nordkettenbahn is a spectacular cable car ride into the mountains above Innsbruck. You can start in either Innsbruck on the Hungerburgbahn then the Nordkettenbahn or start in Hungerburg itself.

Hungerburg, just above Innsbruck and where the Nordkettenbahn cable car is located, is nice with great views overlooking Innsbruck and the Alps.
We satyed at the Pension Alpina.

The Swarovski Kristallwelten is nearby in Wattens, Austria

Mittenwald is close by also. Beautiful Bavarian town!
Hope this helps.
