Hello,
Can anyone recommend low-cost but decent places to stay in Salzburg? B%26amp;B, pensions, hotel, hostel all fine, though I%26#39;m middle-aged so don%26#39;t want a noisy hostel that mostly caters to youth. Will be there in May.
Thanks very much.

A little away from the main city, but connected by bus no 21 is Haus Reichl - B%26amp;B. It is at about 50 Euros per night per person.
It has the most spectacular view of the Untesburg mountains and the most charming hostess that you can find.
We stayed there in January 08 and loved it. And according to Tripadvisor users is currently the best B%26amp;B in Salzburg.

Sorry - that%26#39;s 50 euros for two people - 25 Euros perperson per night.

Thanks for that information re Haus Reichl. How long a bus ride is it into the center of the city? And, I%26#39;m wondering the size of the rooms? Is breakfast included in the price? Thanks a lot for your help.

I%26#39;ve just come across this Gasthaus in Salzburg%26#39;s old town. Usually the cheaper accommodation in Salzburg is located a good distance from the old town or in areas that are not too great; but this Gasthaus is in a really great location, tucked up agains the rocks below the fortress. It is a five minute walk from Mozartplatz and all the main tourist sights. I have not yet seen any reviews but it is certainly worth taking a look at the link if you%26#39;re looking for a budget holiday.

Not sure if that link came through OK so I%26#39;ll post it again:
