Do you need a car in Bad Gastein?

The rental prices within an area tend to be rather uniform. You may save 2-3 € but it usually makes sense to go for the nearest/most convenient rental shop.

Not quite agree with altamiro. Prices in the centers of towns, especially Bad Gastein, are significantly higher. This year we checked prices in the Intersport on the main street opposite of main lift Bad Gastein. The economy class skis there were 80 eur, boots 36 eur for 5 days. We had a car, so then we went to Bad Hofgastein, found ski rent in newly opened Alpen Parks residence, Pyrkerstraße 21, 5630 Bad Hofgastein. Even better skis there were 60, boots 26 for same 5 days. The equipment was new, or almost new, mainly Blizzard. The guy was very friendly and helpful. And in the end we got real good additional discount.

If you have car, or live in Bad Hofgastein, this rent is highly recommended. And don%26#39;t forget to pass best wishes from Lithuania to the staff :-)
