May somebody tell us where we can find a 7.00a.m Catholic Mass in Simmering please? We will be in Vienna in September.
Thank you

Why do you refer to a 7am mass? I have never heard that masses start that early. You can attend a mass on a Sunday which normally start at 9 or 9:30am.

Thank you for the suggestion and we are taking that into consideration. But we would also like to hear Mass daily the earliest possible, at least not later then the 7.30a.m one, so we would be able to go back for breakfast and start out on our excursions to make the most of our stay in Vienna.
I hope that somewhere we will be able to find this early Mass and hope that someone can help us with this.

St. Stephens Cathedral ( Stephansdom ) has Mass at 7:30 on Sundays
later Mass - 9:00
weekdays - Mass at 6:30 and 7:15
As Stephansdom is in the city center it becomes an easy base for later sightseeing - the Hofburg Palace a 5 minute walk for example-
several good places nearby on Graben for a breakfast too.
Very easy to reach by UBahn U-1 or U-3.
U-3 would run through the Simmering area making access easy.

Thank you for the information and your help.
Guess we will be going to the 7:15 Mass at St.Stephens, then have to go back to hotel in Simmering for breakfast. It seems that this is our only option. I think we still have time to make it back by 9:00 to the central when museums and shops will start opening up, no?

Why go back to your hotel- several good cafes as mentioned are just a very short walk from Stephansdom on Graben- saves much time
one the Chattanooga opens at 8 :00 has various and not expensive breakfasts- several others immedistely near- if good weather you can eat outside. Then you can be on your way sightseeing without any stress.
Probably saves at least an hour or more.

There is a Maltese Church on Kaerntnerstrasse in the city centre with a mass at 08:00.
The Pfarrkirche in Altsimmering seems to have a mass at 08:30 on Tuesday and Thursday and 08:30 Sunday.

Thank you for all the info.
The thing is that we are booked B/B at our hotel pension.
But with the information you have given us, we sure be able to fit a Mass in somehow.
Aaaaa so many questions about this holiday!!!!
But this forum and you people are a lot of help for us two elderlies who are planning the first holiday on our own! And to me this is a dream which I have held to, since the age of nineteen! Vienna - Strauss - music - beautiful parks, architecture and goodies! How I am looking forward to this holiday! In the meantime, I am entirely enjoying the plan of our schedule, the readings and pictures of them all. Just Marvellous!!!
Guess we will be bothering you with many more questions until we finalize it all. So thank you very much.
