Hi,
I have organised my brothers stag do for later this month but am yet to sort the transfers out. As we are travelling on a budget I am hoping to do this as cheaply as possible.
Has anyone got any advice where to look... i have had a bit of a look but all i can find are expensive transfer %26#39;specialists%26#39; and taxis(some of them charging upto eur100 each). I tried to look for trains but can;t figure out where the nearest station is or which route to take.
Any help much appreciated...btw, there are 9 of us. I was thinking it might be cheaper to hire cars?!

Hello, I wonder why you chose to fly to Salzburg when Klagenfurt is the nearest airport to Nassfeld (only 55 miles as opposed to about 124 from Salzburg). Ryanair flies from Stansted to Klagenfurt.
This site gives details of getting from Salzburg to Nassfeld by road.

Car hire at Salzburg airport could not be easier. You just walk across the road from the arrivals lounge into the building opposite. We use Avis and book online as it%26#39;s cheaper. Avis.com is cheaper if you want to pay when you return the car rather than up front.
I tried to find details of a train but was unable to do so.

I assume you refer to the nassfeld ski region- this is near to the town of Hermagor.
you can get trains to there and arrange the short transfer.
fron Salzburg about 35 euro per person one way
www.oebb.at
for info and schedules. insert destination as Hermagor
Liz makes a good comment regarding Klagenfurt - it much closer.
