Location of rivercruise docks

We will be visiting Austria and Switzerland before joining a river cruise leaving from Vienna. Does anyone know where river cruise boats dock (Uniworld specifically)? We will be staying at a hotel in the Prater area and are wondering if the distance is walkable. Thanks for any help.

Cruise boats normally dock at several locations.

Most will be by the Reichsbrücke/ Handelskai.

The Reichsbrücke is a large bridge crossing the Danube

This is near to the Vorgartenstrasse stop of the UBahn line U-1 that also stops at the Praterstern ( 1 stop away)

Yes, it is walkable but a considerable distance and with luggage I would not recommend it.

A taxi can take you directly to the boat landing - the UBahn stop is about a 5 -7 minute walk

The lesser used docking area is in Nussdorf - along distance from the area of the Prater- if the boat docks there - a taxi is a needed thing.

Check with your cruise line - it most probably docks as descibed above at the Reichsbrücke area

Enjoy Vienna and your cruise

Thanks for the info, Vertical. We%26#39;ll probably take a taxi because of the luggage and will try the cruise line to see which of the two docking areas they%26#39;ll use.
