Accomodations in Radfeld, or Rattenberg or Kramsach

I%26#39;ve found a few Pensions listed, including Hotel Sonnof, Der Micaelerhof, and Gasthof Alpenblick and wondered if anyone was familiar with these places? Or perhaps could give me some idea of what they might be like? The websites are somewhat helpful, but there are very few if any reviews, and communication is through email.

Thanks, K.

I believe that you posted several questions last year regarding this area as your husband was in that area. Going back again.

As he probably found this is not a overly large raea for destination tourists. Most are probably german - few british or americans so probably few postings here.

When in that area I usually stay in Alpbach, Achensee or mayrhofen- but these are not adjacent to the area you list .

Alpbach probably the closest.I enjoy the Alpbach area for a few quiet days. But if you do not have a car or need to access other places - less convenient

I know that I have seen various pensions in the towns you mention but do not really know them- just a quick look on the web the Michaelerhof seems the best to me.

Assume that you found thse on the alpbachtal or similar website.

Note the late night cafe disco at one of the places - Sonnhof- - a potential noise problem ?

also note one is listed in the %26quot; Bauernhof hotel dirctory- usually a good sign .

Thanks and yes, I%26#39;ve posted before. Now my son will have the pleasure of joining my husband, and I will also be going over and hope to visit Venice while I%26#39;m there. I%26#39;m checking to find hotels / pensions that will be centrally located for my son, so that he can walk around, and also easily access the train station. They seem fine for he and my husband for a few days.

If you have been to Rattenberg before - the three places you mention are all east of there in Radfeld.

In fact all in the same street.

Michaelerhof at Dorfstrasse 95

Sonnhof at 92

Alpenblick at 29

The train station is very near to the main eastern parking for Rattenberg. The lot is immediately adjacent to the shopping and pedestrian zone of the town.

From the places mentioned perhaps a 1000 meter walk to the train stationand town center.

As you probably know - this is a main line for trains through the Inntal and between Innsbruck and Salburg- with connections many places including Venice rechable.

While Kramsach probably has more selection of accomodations it is further from the train and on the other side of the Inn River.

However it would probably have more activities for kids.

Alpbach is very nice but seems not so practical.

Hope this helps a little.

I will be in nearby Brixlegg at the end of March.Always stop in Rattenberg. If you need more info just ask- I can have a look while there.
