Which is the best hotel?

Hi,

I%26#39;m going to spend some days next August in Wien and I%26#39;m looking for a very nice hotel.

I%26#39;ve looked the Grand Hotel, the Imperial, the Bristol and the Sacher..

Which is the best? Any site with good rates?

The Bristol and Sacher are in excellent positions, just minutes from everything. The other to look at is the Le Meridien. The Bristol/ Sacher are more traditional whilst the Meridian is ultra chic and modern. All are fabulous hotels in prime positions.

if I would have the money to choose

my favourite is the Imperial

you will find several threads about the same questions where people discussed their preferences.

All the hotels you mention as well as le meredien are within 300 meters of each other - thus location is not a factor.

Sometimes the room classification can be different.

The higher priced rooms and suites will have similar amenities and perhaps sizes.

However many say that the standard room at the Imperial is not really that great.

As you come in August ,the hig tourist season , not much chance of a bargain rate.

If you are a starwoods frequent guest program- Imperial and Bristol are in that grop - perhaps a room upgrade is possible.

In my opinion, aone of the recently renovated rooms at the Sacher or a room at the Grand are best value.

many now say Grand has the best overall service.

The Imperial is doubtless a luxurious hotel with style.

But I personally think that their room style is too old-fashioned for my taste. I really love these buildings with sophisticated facades, but the furniture should be not that old.

I am convinced that service is outstanding, but I would rather opt for the LeMeridien/Bristol/Sacher.

If you like the %26quot;Grand hotel style%26quot; - then choose the Imperial, Sacher or Grand. They are all very good!

If you like the modern design hotel-style - then you could choose between Triest, Style, Le Meridien and Holmann Beletage.

Going to revive this topic.

Considering that out of the luxury hotels listed here, only the Marriott has an Executive Club AND a full-service pool area, I think that is the best hotel in Vienna.

Anyone care to differ?
