Buying ticket from OBB

Hi all,

I have a question regarding purchasing ticket from the Austrian rail (OBB). Can I buy the ticket even though I%26#39;m in America and can I pay for it using a foreign credit card (I%26#39;m based in the US)? The rate they offer for overnight travel is really good and I want to take advantage of it now. If I wait till I%26#39;m there, it won%26#39;t be that rate anymore.

Also, another problem I have is the whole website is in German when I try to purchase the ticket. I suppose I can translate the page at each step.

I%26#39;m looking at the connection from Strasbourg to Vienna. Has anybody taken this route before?

Thanks for your advice.

Yes, you can do it from anywhere in the world - although it is in German, it is pretty rudimentary and any translation program (google translate, for example) can help you with this, and I think there are only a couple of pages that ask the usual questions (name, date of travel, credit card number, I accept terms and conditions, etc) . Alternatively there is a booking line you can call from abroad.

There are still 29 Euros seated/69 Euro sleeping (recommended) places on trains even next week, so it won%26#39;t get %26#39;booked up%26#39;, but for your peace of mind best get it over and done with.

It will be the same as any other night route - you get on the train, crash out, and wake up at your destination :) It is as safe as any hotel, and cheaper!

Good luck!

If you mind using an online dictionary in order to book your ticket, you can attempt to call the customer service center during business hours, when English-speaking agents should be available.

Hi

I am based in singapore and if we buy online at obb - how are tickets delivered to us?

Or is it print and bring along when we travel to europe?

Thanks

You can print the tickets at your pc. Enter an e-mail-address, then your ticket (PDF-file) will also be sent to it.
