skiing holidays in Alpendorf

Hi,

Can anyone offer any advice I have found a lovely child friendly hotel in Alpendorf for next year%26#39;s skiing holiday but can%26#39;t seem to find much out about the ski area. Is Alpendorf linked to the ski amade and can you access the whole ski area from here without having to catch buses? Does it get busy and are there large lift queues we are thinking of going in January 2010. We have skied in Megeve for the last couple of years and this is really quite and no lift queues but very poor on child care.

Hi Paula we have a n apartment in Alpendorf and we go at New Year (very busy) and half term (quite busy) but the only time we found a lift queue was on the link back from Wagrain about 2.15 any other time there was no problem if you keep away from the ski school slopes check out these sites www.alpendorf.at/ehtml/winter

Hi,

Is the whole ski area linked by ski lifts as I can%26#39;t really see from the piste map I have it looks like you can ski down to Wargrain and then it looks like there isn%26#39;t a link to the other areas would you have to catch a bus?

Yes Alpendorf and Wagrain are connected but you have to get a bus between the other side of Wagrain to link up with Flacau and the rest of the Areas

Thanks - I thought so it looked that way on the map is this easy to do?

I%26#39;ve heard it is but in the times we skiied there with our children and the conditions we have had we have never needed to leave the Alpendorf/Wagrain area
