Does Sky Europe still fly between Vienna and Pisa? Do not seem to get any flights to come up on their website for June 09? Any alternative methods to get from Vienna to Pisa/Florence?
Thanks in advance

SkyEurope has recently tightened their network. Austrian Airlines might fly to Florence, but they do not offer affordable oneway journeys as they still practice the %26quot;You-must-also-pay-the-return-flight%26quot; policy. Trains are always available, but unfortunately run slower leading to an essentially longer travel time. As far as I know FlyNiki Airlines serves Milan-Malpensa, from where you could proceed to Pisa/Florence by railway.

As for flying to Pisa/Florence, you might wish to check whether Alitalia still operates on these routes. Not entirely certain about Austrian. There are also direct train services, including night trains, to Florence and special %26quot;Sparschiene%26quot; tickets available on these routes, from 29 EUR upwards (need to be booked in advance and are non-refundable). This will take you to Austrian Railways (ÖBB) www.oebb.at .
Other than SkyEurope, Vienna-Amsterdam is served by Austrian and KLM.
Austrian is offering so called Red Tickets, at best approx. 99 EUR return, but usually, you have to book well in advance. Then again, they recently put more such tickets on offer (Austrian is set to be bought up by Lufthansa and in some, shall we say, financial trouble, so they´re aiming to boost sales. SkyEurope is not doing well either from what one hears, but I doubt both will go truly bust any time soon).
