Venice to Vienna

I have read on the forum that the night train from venice to vienna is cancelled?

I am thinking of buying train ticket on OBB, going from venice to vienna.

Venezia S.Lucia to Wien Westbahnhof

for Wednesday the 27-05-2009

Thinking of taking this :

TRAIN EN 236 from 21:05 to 08:27 (11:22)

Couchette 2nd class 6 person compartment

I assume this is still train right? (i was pretty confuse over the topic i came across that some train turns out to be BUS!)

As for the train ticket, do I just print out online?

No, the night train does run every day.

As your journey starts in Italy, you have to buy from the italian railways Trenitalia.

If it does not work, call austrian railways ÖBB (+43 5 1717) or send them a message (service@pv.oebb.at) and they will send you the tickets by post.

As far as I know, italian railways do not accept online printed tickets for rail travel from Italy to Austria... if you buy them from Trenitalia, you get a code. You just walk to the station and print the tickets. More info on that on the Trenitalia website.

For $ 76.00 you can buy and print them off of Rail Europe.com, yet this is not always the cheapest option.
