Week in Kitzbuhel - May

I wonder if anyone can help?

My friend and I are thinking of staying in Kitzbuhel for a week in May. Does anyone know of a centrally located hotel which is a particularly nice one?

Also, are there enough things to do in the area for a week (using public transport)? Or would the better option to be to split the week up with half in Salzburg?

Thanks for the advice!

It depends if you come more in the begining of May or towards the end. Because skiing season lastest until the 19th of April, a lot of restaurants and things to visti will be closed until the 16th or 21th of May (which is a holiday in Austria). From than on there is much more to see, than you can do in a week.

IF you want to get around and use public transport, you should buy the Kitzbueheler Alpen Summer Card with bus option. It gives you unlimited access to 31 cable cars, discounts for museums, zoo etc. and free transportation. Check out this site kitzalps.com/en/kitzbueheler-alpen-summer.ht…

It also says, which lifts and sights will be open from what date on.

I also have some hotels tipps (but it alywas depends how much you want to spend). I start with the good ones:

I can recommend the Hotel Tieffenbrunner, which is in the pedestrian area of Kitzbuhel.

When we stayed there the food and service was excellent, but make sure you ask for rear room, that overlooks the mountains rather than one that overlooks the street below

With regard to the Hotel Tiefenbrunner, which ones are the rooms overlooking the back? I am trying to book through Inghams, but it%26#39;s not clear.
