Which has more to see : Vienna or Salzburg ?

Cant decide how to split my 5 days between the two, should I do 3:2 or 2:3 ?

Also, what is the most comfortable transportation option between the two cities ?

Vienna, Vienna, Vienna. Salzburg is a cute mid-sized town /small city with great landscape as backdrop, but it doesn´t even start comparing to Vienna.

As Vienna is much larger than Salzburg, you can logically see much more. Both cities are pretty attractive to visitors.

Vienna, a large imperial city, offers a lot of gorgeous landmarks, breathtaking architecture and a very diversified cultural scene. Salzburg is rather compact also featuring great architecture and palaces as well as a stunning fortification.

I would split it Vienna (3.5d):Salzburg (1.5d).
