Good restaurants

Hi,

tavelling to Salzburg this week and was wondering if there%26#39;s any good any reasonably priced restaurants near the Best Western hotel where i%26#39;m staying. Not fussy eater.

Is the Stieglkeller near the fortress any good??? not sure how far this is.

Any info appreciated!!!

Are you staying at the BW Stieglebrau or the BW Elefant? The Elefant is closer to all the tourist sights. There are many reasonably priced restaurants in the old town. Stieglkeller is good, especially if you%26#39;re a meat eater. Great views over the city too. It%26#39;s a five minute walk from the Elefant. Here are a few of my favourites:

Da Pippo on Altermarkt - Italian food reasonably priced. No smoking.

Zum Mohren on Judengasse - Cosmopolitan and Austrian. Some no smoking tables.

Saran Essbar on Judengasse - Excellent food. No smoking.

The Joy Cafe if you are a healthy eater.

In Alstadt, I ate at the Golden Duck which was good. I had a lunch at Demel which was good too. Across the river, I ate at the Alstadt Fox which I really enjoyed.
