Innsbuck old town and Nordpark cable car

Hi,

We are staying in Innsbruck the end of February and were wondering if we could see the old town as well as take the Nordpark cable car to Hafelkar for lunch all in one day ?

We are hiring a car from the airport as we like to tour stopping when we feel like it.

We are thinking:

Day 1 - Lake Constance ( nostalgic reasons !)

Day 2 - Cable car and possibly old town

Day 3/4 - general touring - any suggestions please. we like scenery and small villages.

We could stay 7 days if there%26#39;s too much to see in 5 !!

Thank you in advance.

The Club Innsbruck Card is issued automatically with an overnight stay in Innsbruck or one of its holiday villages. Information is at - innsbruck.info/xxl/…index.html

The %26quot;Innsbruck Card%26quot; is a very good value and can be used to visit many interesting areas in and around Innsbruck for free. A couple of examples are free entrance to Goldenes Dachl, Museum Goldenes Dachl, Altes Rathaus Stadtturm [Old City hall Bell Tower], and Bergisel Sprungstadion and Tower [Olympic Ski Jump arena]. This card allows for 1 free ride up and down the Nordkettenbahen and Patscherkofebahn mountains for non-skiers. The card includes use of all public transport in Innsbruck and from/to Igls, Rum/Hall, Natters/Mutters. An overview is at - innsbruck.info/xxl/…index.html

A review of both Cards can be found at - austria.info/xxl/…home.html

Three days would be enough time to visit all the major sights in Innsbruck.

Old town and Hafelekar can be done on one day assuming that you don%26#39;t glue to the sights. I would not miss the cute city center of Innsbruck!

Nearby villages of attraction:

Hall in Tirol

Mittenwald (Bavaria)

Hi,

Thank you all for the information.

I have posted another question on a different thread regarding Zeltweg if you can help please.

|||

Is the ride to Nordkettenbahen includes all the way to the top ( station Hafelekar) or only to Hungerburg?

(using Innsbruck Card)

Webeagle12- in January I went right to the top usinf the Innsbruck Card. It is great value for money especially if you go up a mountain.

Here is the website which should give you some more info nordpark.com/en/…nordpark-cable-railways.html

It is well worth going the whole way up as you get the views looking aver the alps away from the Innsbruck valley as well.

thank you very much
