Travel from Bratislava airport to Vienna

Just back from Vienna, having flown in to Bratislava from Edinburgh with Ryanair.

We originally booked a coach trip with Terravision coaches which is exclusively for Ryanair passengers.

However, in the end we decided to try our luck with another carrier as the coach times for Terravision were not that good - we would have had to wait over an hour after landing, and either got a return coach hours in advance of our flight or one which would only just get us there in time assuming there were no delays.

We arrived at 8.30 and caught a %26#39;Blaguss%26#39; bus from outside the terminal (there are building works immediately outside - skirt round them to the right and you will see the coach stops). We had not pre-booked the trip and there was plenty of space on board.

There are other carriers and they seem to cover much the same route at much the same price (about 9 to 10 euro%26#39;s).

The coach was comfy and reached Vienna in just over an hour. All the coaches seem to terminate at much the same spot on Erdbergstrasse which is right next to the Erdberg U bahn station. U bahn trains were still running about one every 5 mins and within 20 mins of arriving on the coach we had reached our hotel in the city centre.

I%26#39;d travel this way again, although limit your time at the soulless Bratislava airport. It%26#39;s small, and specialises in unfriendly staff who man the meagre facilities! That said, having few flights you are unlikely to be held up.
