I booked the Glacier ski pass package at the Hotel Zach from the innsbruck.com website. It includes the room (review of hotel to come), breakfast, ski buses, Glacier and Nord park access and dinner at the Hotel Central.
The ski rental was not included but not expensive and close to the hotel (die boerse). The skibuses ran efficiently and several times during the day. Patscherkofel was not crowded at all and had a lovely panorama cafe. Local bus even made it up there when I couldn%26#39;t make it down the mountain in time to catch the skibus. Axamer Lizum was nice but the conditions were cloudy and bit crowded. Nordpark with Seegrube and Hafelkar provided the best views. I didn%26#39;t ski there but I saw lots of smiles on the faces of everyone else. All was on the glacier pass.
I am still amazed that beers in town and on the mountain were roughly the same price (3 euro). So nice!!! The dinner service with the package was surprisingly nice. It was 4 course (soup, salad, main and dessert). You paid for your drinks. My husband and I got different mains every night and were never disappointed.
Enjoyed some beers at Stiegl, Bierkeller, and Cammerlander. Limmerick Bills was also visited but the smell/taste of cigarette ash was lingering so we drank fast to escape. We bought some glasses that have etching in the base so that your beer bubbles away beautifully.
We mostly walked around, loving the small town feel. After living in Paris, Innsbruck was a lovely place to visit and I look forward to going back.
